Recycle BadgeBy starling1 for ITB Boxmeer

The idea here to make it more attractive by changing peoples perception of it rather than drastically alter the actual design.

The simple idea is to add a badge that people relate to in this case the symbol for recycling and in the colour blue to represent clean air.

When you look at the recycle symbol most people have a positive association as thier  mental image : - eco, green, environmentally friendly, etc.

Thus you have a large symbol on the unit so when passers by do look at the unit their mind is drawn to this badge not the shape and bulk of the unit and so there thoughts are hopefully positive rather than negative.

If they then enquire further they are told the use of the unit to purify the air and again it sheds the product in a positive light.

You could produce the badge as a separate piece out of the same plastic by a simple mould and just stick it on the side OR  you could make the front panel a  one piece mould with the symbol shape embossed outwards so it stands out clearly from a distance.

As you talking in this case as an agricultural use, for this redesign I would leave the main unit a neutral colour like the grey or beige ( most agricultural buildings are like this anyway) so it blends with the adjacent buildings where possible.
