For ports there are plenty of possible solutions.  The walls in shipping docks (where the ships often bounce into), the dry-docks where ships are repaired (flooring and walls), shipyards where boots need to be lowered into the water on a ramp.

Everything to prevent the metal from scratching to hard (leading to damage and rust).  Boats are rather sensitive for concrete, so rubber cushioning would not be a bad idea.
