Motion capture techniques..By carinae for Sports & Technology

For body or eye movements "Motion capture" techniques can be used. This technique is an existing technique which is quite commonly used in the Holywood pictures to generate special effects or bring computer drawn characters into "life" as real humans. Sensors are placed all over the body and instant data is transmitted from to the computer to generate 3D movements into 2D pirctures. Nowadays there is also Markerless motion capture techniques (GAIT analysis) which is already in use in clinical medicine without burdening patients with body suits or tracking devices. This allows patients to move freely within a defined area, using cameras that map the silhouette of the person and fit 3 to 24 perspectives to a model of the person, to track range of motion, gait, and several other biometric factors, and streams this information live into analytical software. Because this system removes the markers top-sporters are able move freely while performing their act. This markerless technique however has only centimeter resolution while the marker-motion capture techniques has sub millimeter resolution which is more accurate for sports.
