This Christmas tree is meant for elderly that suffer from loss of memory. In the worst stages of this disease, people have to stay in a home for the elderly. In such a place, there is no room for a Christmas tree. In the last years of their lives, the elderly with demential symptom act like a child again. Therefore, I wanted to come up with a tree for these people that helps them to experience Christmas, even if they are alone. The tree is made of soft plush and because of the branches and the Christmas balls, you can really dive into the tree and feel like you are embraced. All the balls are attached to the tree to make sure that the elderly can not put them in their mouth. The smell of a Christmas tree is added to strengthen the total experience. If a good solution can be found to use electricity safely, lights, warmth and maybe even messages from family can de added to the tree.
