Inspired by the idea of Rosa (no tree, yet balls), I came up with an inflatable tree 'constructed' from balls. Although I like Rosas idea as a piece of decoration very much, I felt it embodied a bit of emptiness as a substitute for a tree (sorry Rosa!).
So I re-introduced the tree. Not too literally but by making differently sized balls slightly merge in a cascading way, therewith restoring the 'tree concept' by means of the balls.
If you like, the balloon tree can be decorated, for instance by draping stuff around it or by taping objects onto it.
You can also choose to have multiple trees in different colours (in white the tree looks like a snow man simply by adding a carrot and a hat). You can make them as big and small as you like by inflating it more or less.
Personally, I think shop decoration would be an interesting application, for it is versatile, simple, very cheap and easy to dispose off.
