Until today, when you made a redesign and somebody commented on it then you would get an e-mail. When somebody posted a comment again while you didn't check the previous one, you'd still get another e-mail. We now changed the system so you don't get another e-mail until you checked the previous one. A small change but it probably will make a big difference. Suggestions for more changes to the e-mail & notification system are welcome.

I hate that my email box have 20+ mails a day, with only: new redesign, new comment etc. I think its better that you receive max 1 mail a day, that shows bv: 15 new comments, 21 new redesigns, new blog item etc.

well, when you post a comment to a challenge or redesign, or make a redesign for a challenge, then you are automatically subscribed to the original item. this is default and this default can't currently be changed by a user. we could add a "auto subscribe to original items when posting" in the "my account" page. about saving everything into 1 message: you already receive a community update every wednesday or every second wednesday. this update has all the latest additions in it.

Option to unsubscribe on comments would be a big plus.

3 things: Choice for the user is good. An on-site notification system, NO e-mails (e-mail is NOT made for that). If people want to know what's going on with their and other's redesigns they should come to the site and check. constant mails are annoying, unnecessary, consuming and evil. A decent homepage with news and featured stuff would be nice. EDIT I'll try and sketch. The Crowdwise weblog could be integrated. kind regards Claus

Hi Claus, Good idea. We'll put the "no-emails" option on the feature list. About what you say "a decent homepage", how would that look like? Can you make a sketch? Cheers, Maxim

Ok, this is how I think it should look - roughly- when logged in. Of course the alignement and spacing should be as it should be, this was just a quick sketch. If you have any questions, please. Personally I also think the links above should look like this: Home - Challenges - Forum - Shop - Register. I am thinking of an on-site notification system, it's probably going to look a bit like Facebook's. :) regards, Claus

What I personally dislike about the homepage is that you can't open the recent added items in a new tab or window. Why make a div with an onClick event in stead of just making the description clickable like a normal hyperlink? I also got a lot of alerts from Safari saying "Undefined" for no specific reason when I clicked any of the comments, menu items, ... And I also think there has to be a clearer way to show that a new challenge has been added and when redesigns have been updated. (Now you only see when someone commented on a redesign, not when someone edited one.) Of course these are just suggestions. :)

The "undefined alert" should be resolved now. Please let us know if you come across it once more.
