I would like to see a maximum redesign per user per challenge. This way people do not post 10-20 designs that they have build in 10 minutes. If you limit the number of maximum redesigns per user per challenge to for example 3, you'll force them to think about the design before posting. --- Then you should also block/control the possibility to upload a completely new design under an older redesign. Because if you have judged a certain design you expect the redesigner to work on the remarks you've given, if he's replacing his design with something completely different it is very confusing. A solution is to force them to give a reason for deleting an older design and that the administrator of the site gets flagged so he/she can check whether it's a valuable replacement.

I agree with this point. I think it's better to work on max 2 or 3 ideas and improve them over time than to post 10 or 20 " lucky shots"

I couldn't agree more, I hope this will be implemented in the new Redesign System. There is going to be one, right? * "have built", btw.

Yes very good point. I would say a maximum of five redesigns.

Limiting the number has two faces. On one hand, the ideas will all be of improved quality. The comparison between the ideas is also improved this way. On the other hand, by just placing your first thoughts, the 'creative flow' can really be stimulated.

hmmm I'd rather like that some people let their creativity first flow through their own livingroom... because some ideas are not at all suited to be put online yet...

I don't see why this is a problem for you? It might be for the person who has to select the winning design, but not necessarily for you as a "good" designer? When I entered my own challenge I was very surprised that there were not any tools available for me to "sort" the designs into "good", "maybe" or "not" - this is not necessarily something that needs to be published. This way you leave it to the customer to separate good from bad. At a certain point in the challenge it would be good to publish the ranking from the customer, because then the designers know it makes sense to continue finetuning their design...

Limiting input is contra-productive, that's why, when brainstorming, it is not allowed to censor or limit. The point of this platform is that you get inspired by one another. Even bad ideas can lead to good ones. I reckon that if you limit, you just get less good designs. It's also not a fact that more time on a design automatically leads to better designs. And you dont expand or contract time by limiting your design entries. In fact.. i can imagine taking a full 14 days for 1 entry, but my time is worth more than 1000RDMs. cheers, Roel
