Serious Request - Dutch Radio 3FMfor Redesignme

The 3FM Serious Request 2009 Challenge:
Dutch national radio station 3FM is organizing it’s yearly “Serious Request” action. Every year 3 DJ's are staying in a glass house for one week without eating anything as their compensation for all donations made by Dutch people and companies. This year they are asking attention and donations on the topic “Stop Malaria, Play the Music”. RedesignMe would like to do their part and is asking for your help!

The Challenge:
Following the theme “Stop Malaria, Play the Music” we ask everyone to come up with ideas on how to prevent malaria. The Red Cross tries to fight off malaria by providing mosquito nets and giving instruction and support about healthcare. With this approach, they have already protected 17,5 million lives! These mosquito nets last for only 4 to 5 years. After this the working substance with which the nets are impregnated becomes inactive. To support the Red Cross we are looking for creative, new or innovative ways to bring down the costs of distribution or extent the lifecycle of the musquito net. Of course other ideas which help to prevent malaria are more than welcome as well! Perhaps you can come up with something that makes the musquito net superfluous. We will send all redesigns to the Red Cross.
 
Donate and we'll double up!
This Challenge ends on December 23th. This gives everybody the opportunity to donate their received RDMs for this challenge to 3FM. When the winners of this challenge donate their RDMs to 3FM, RedesignMe will double them! It is also possible to donate RDMs that you have already received in other challenges. Those RDMs will be increased by 50% by RedesignMe, before donated to 3FM. Donations can be made in the RedesignMe shop until 24th December, 15.00 hours (Central European time).  After that, we will donate the total amount on behalf of all Redesigners, to 3FM.
