Redesign the classic desktop calculatorfor Garton Jones

The calculator:
Every office in the land has desktop calculators. They are practical with good size buttons and easy to use interface and will always be used rather than the awkward ones on computers/ mobile phones. Especially when people have to do a large number of calculations on a daily basis.
However: calculators always look really dull.

So much improvement has happened to other items on my desk, my computer, telephone, mouse and even stapler are now well designed and beautiful but my calculator still looks like a 1970's reject. No supplier seems to produce a sleek and practical calculator.

We want to produce and supply a calculator and need your help to come up with a good new design.

Our target audience:
Design concious office workers who have a sleak computer/ iphone etc

Keep in mind:
A classic "desk calculator" is the "Ativa 10 Digit Desk Calculator 160 x 115 x 40 mm".
It is a good size, and very user friendly with decent size buttons but it looks very dated.
I am not looking for "technical" innovation but feel free if you want to give it a go.
Also we are not looking for a radical change to the size/ shape of the calculator just a slicker look but again if you feel the urge do try a radical rethink, maybe we are just being too conservative !

A 11.500 RDM bonus is waiting for the best redesign.
