Develop a new (label) design for the range Honig Hartige maaltijdsauzen (wet cooking sauces)
The Honig brand
Honig is a brand with a long history, established in 1895 and through the years grown to a large foodbrand with a large portfolio of different products. Pasta, bakery, and products to prepare selfmade soup, or mixes of herbs & spices to prepare all kind of delicious meals and complete mealkits for the family.
Honig has the mission to let people eat more often together at the table, therefore we want to let the consumer discover again how important it is to eat together. The Honig products have a very accessible flavour, which can be good combined with fresh vegetables, so that you can easily serve a tasty meal at the table that will everybody will enjoy.
Target audience
The current main consumer group of Honig are families with children.
New introduction: Honig Hartige maaltijdsaus
Beginning November Honig introduced a new range of products; Honig hartige maaltijdsaus.
It is a range of wet cooking sauces which give a nice savoury taste to a rice dish. To the sauces you have to add chicken/meat and vegetables and serve it with rice.
The range consist of 4 flavours;

The challenge:
Develop a new design(label) for Honig Hartige maaltijdsauzen, which is straight-forward and stands out in the shelf.
We think the current labeldesign is OK, but we believe we (you!) can do better!

- Firm chicken with bacon, mushrooms & sage
- Spicy chicken; piri-piri with onion & garlic
- Peppery meatballs with pepper, leek & curry
- Creamy chicken with crème fraîche, spring-onion & parsley

The challenge:

We think the current labeldesign is OK, but we believe we (you!) can do better!
Keywords, The perfect label ...
- makes the product stand out on the shelf
- is transperant, which makes the product itself most important (naturel & pure!)
- represents our values; trust, family, being together, product visibility, unique value for money
- focuses even more on the product inside; what is it and what can it be used for?
- Glass jar is conditional
- Presence of Honig logo & product range name: Hartige maaltijdsaus
- Use of the attached elements
