About Phoenix BV

Phoenix BV. is a metalworking factory which has specialized themselves in designing and producing sheet metal parts and constructions in small and medium-sized series.

This sheet metal parts are produced by using rubber pad stamping technology, a process where steal, stainless steel or aluminum sheets are reformed by using a rubber pad on one side and a wooden or metal mould on the other side. The metal sheet metal is placed between those two parts. By applying 8000 tons of pressure, Phoenix BV can reform the sheet metal with a maximum dimension of 2000 x 1100mm. Benefits of this technology are:

• low tooling costs
• multiple smaller products can be pressed at the same time
• low change-over costs
• no visible damages at the surface

Besides rubber pad stamping, it is possible to cut a sheet metal in any shape by laser cutting. It is also possible to apply folding lines, so the sheet can be folded by hand once. When adjusted, several folding lines, this creates an extra dimension.

Using rubber pad stamping for designers to realize their ideas, is relatively new. All sorts of metal can be reformed. Possibilities are:
