Touch Tiles (Swimming)for Sports & Technology

By using touch-sensors which are integrated in the tiles of a swimming peoples one can measure when a swimmers touches the tile. This eliminates heavy, sensitive measuring equipment that used to be in the water.

The difficulty is that this new technology has to be integrated in the tiles of the pool, underwater, and this should be robust and accurate. The innovation is important for high level sportsmen and woman because the measurement is more accurate. In Holland there are over 700 public pools. Next to that there are thousands of pools in hospitals, hotels, homes etc. It would be nice if this technology can be integrated in these pools also. So the technology should be easy to fit also.

Challenge: think of a while of improving the Touch Tile or think of an entirely new way of measuring the performance of swimmers.
